This year we will be collecting can goods at every Rotary meeting for our local food bank. We will also leave a container at our meeting place (Marcello’s) to collect cans from the public. This will accomplish two things: 1) Rotary will collect more food for the food bank 2) It will bring public awareness to Rotary and the local chapter.

Club Service Social activities include:
Monthly Social Club meetings: These meetings are held the third Thursday of every month from 5:30-7:00 PM at rotating establishments throughout the island and Port Isabel. The purpose of these social club meetings is to provide additional fellowship among Rotarians, to draw in more Winter Texan Rotarians giving them a social event as a possible make-up and to enhance fellowship within our own club.
Derry Elementary School Choir: The Choir entertains us with Christmas carols at one of our December meetings.
White Elephant: Each December we also have a gift exchange “game” at one of our meetings.
Christmas Party: We hold an annual Christmas party for club members and spouses at one of our Rotarian’s homes.
