The immediate past president of the Port Isabel Rotary Club presented Rotary's "Business of the Year" award to Pirate's Landing for their year's of community service and their belief in "Service Above Self". Scott Friedman, owner of Pirate's Landing was on hand at the weekly Rotary meeting to accept the award. "Pirate's Landing embodies the Rotary spirit and regularly demonstrates the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self" Among their many community service activities, Scott's support of the Museum and Lighthouse are truly shining examples of all the things the Friedman family has contributed to Port Isabel.," as stated by Ralph Ayers during the award presentation.
